Too much varnish?

Hi. Disaster struck this morning, as I attempted to finish my latest squad of Chaos Space Marines. I usually use a spray-on matte varnish to protect the minis when I\'m done. But today, I wasn\'t paying attention, and sprayed too much on. My minis now look like they are covered in frost, and I\'m not sure if there\'s any way I can fix this except to paint them over again. They are plastic, so I don\'t want to try a chemical stripper, and I\'ve tried using warm water and a toothbrush with little effect. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jeff

pine sol

I had a similar problem with a group of plastic orc archers.

I left them overnight in pine-sol and then took a toothbrush to them.

The pine-sol didn\'t ruin the plastic. I was able to get most of the paint off, some of it was extremely tough, though.

Maybe somebody else has a better solution. I know I have heard brake fluid might do the trick...

The frosty look may have come from the fact the varnish wasn\'t mixed up well enough. I shake mine for several minutes before hand.

I usually cringe everytime I spray varnish on!!!:D:D

Yep, it does the trick ;) Put some Brake Fluid in a jar drop the models in it, close the jar with the lid, wait two days and scrub it off with a toothbrush. Although i don\'t know if the Brake FLuid can get through all that varnish.. but, it should do that.
