...and the sky was clear as a bell earlier.

So of course it\'s now completely clouded over

Sky is as clear as can be here. A lovely view as it rises over the fields of our city\'s airport across the valley.

My kids and I are watching out of the front window of my oldest son\'s bedroom. So it\'s a lovely temperature too.lol

We even managed to scrounge up some binoculars! Even my two year old is excited.

First a beautiful day of skiing with the school kids around the 0c mark and now this. :flip:

Not the greatest pics, but about the best I could do with my digital P&S and a tripod. 2.5 and 4 sec. exposures:

(apparently that\'s the planet Saturn in the second photo!)

I did manage to brave the elements and go watch for a bit.

The moon high up in the eastern sky for me, about the size of a 30mm base...It was as dark as could be too...

Pictures just don\'t do it justice. Such a cool phenomena!

I knew it was approximately full moon time lately, and so I was surprised to see a half moon when I left to go paint at Tom\'s house. By the time I got to Tom\'s house, there was just a sliver of moon left. I think I imagined the big guy from the Tick eating the moon and laughed for a bit, then promptly forgot all about it. I\'ve seen too many eclipses lately for them to seem very impressive anymore.

Nice photos though, my camera sucks balls for photographing anything that dark. I guess it\'s got everything to do with my lack of a full size tripod tho :D
