I tried thinking of something heroic a well trained guardsman would say upon seeing such a beast but onlything i can think of is OH NOES! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! with that being said I picked up this model at the store around 9am today and started assembling around 10am.. with a lunch break it is now 2:33pm here and just now is it ready to prime! heres a pic of the monstrosity

stay tuned for more pics! this model is not only for my armour but for a painting contest so lots of work to be done!

ok so the brown has been shaded and got its first highlight and some green has been worked on however still lots to do! the head has been mostly painted but like the body still lots of work to be done. the teeth and tounge are painted the eyes are pretty much but of course still need to highlight the green and carapace.

with that being said heres a couple more quik pics

are you putting a shade on the green? I think it needs one or the highlight will get lost. Looking nice on the armour plates, keep us updated with your progress looking forward to it.

Exiles beat me to it but yeah, that green needs a shade on it, I'd go quite a bit darker than the base too. If you make it a glaze, you can do it in stages and stop when your happy

well got some more work done. washed the green to make it a bit darker then the original colour, and with that being said have 3 highlights to do on the green bits. got the front of teh carapace highlighted as well as the back of teh torso still have to do 2 highlights on the rest of the carapace bits. any way heres some more pics

well the heads on and got the green finished and 80% of the carapace. still need to finish half the tail and talons then do touch ups as well as the toxin glands in the tail end, and of course flock \ paint up the base. posting links this time, enjoy!

nothing wrong as it is now :) but if you want to push it some more and loose that kind of "cartoony" feeling of it i think you need to shade and highlight it much more. its just a matter of taste though. its very clean painted.
