TRYING OUT VALLEJOS

Hi guys, I was wandering about some vallejo paints. I have heard great things about them so I think I will give them a try. I wanted to experiment on them on fire. I was wandering if they will cover over black or do I need to basecoattehm white? What vallejo colors would I use to achieve a nice, bright fire ffect, with a red in the centre of archaon\'s sword going out to white on the edges?

Most of the paints go good over black. Just dont water them down to mcuh for a base coat, unless you lay on a few think layers/ If that makes any sence....

Bright Colors over Black

My suggestion would be to paint your design in a somewhat thinned white. When that dries, go over it again in the bright colors you like.

Believe me, the white base will make it much brighter and save you a *lot* of time, as you\'ll need to apply several coats of yellow/orange/red to make them as bright without using white underneath.
