Trying to find cheap skulls. Lots and lots of skulls...

I for one am sick to death of molding, sculpting and/or snipping skulls off of other bits. I\'m hoping to find something like a bargain sack of skulls. I\'d even take whole skeletons on the cheap, but what I really want is skulls, skulls and more skulls. Oodles of skulls. A plethora of skulls. That many.

and one I don\'t have on hand for a bag of several skulls - but most have various helmets on them and such. Not for me - I only want skulls.

Well i guess it takes all sorts - i spend most of my time preparing figures to paint by snipping and filing skulls off the figures...

I think it\'s safe to say we would ALL like a good source of mini skulls and bones... since the GW skeleton box went off the market it just isn\'t easy to find them... well unless you count the Reaper skull set which is > $1 per skull and they are not all human either.

Reaper - that was the one I was trying to remember. Not all human and most are wearing helmets. Not so useful.

As to filing off skulls - it does take all types. I field a Chaos army and spend my time filing off the Chaos symbols and little pointy bits on the armor edging. Go figure.

Freebooter makes skulls packs, but they\'re not optimal either... They contain animal skulls and small skulls as well as ordinary human sized skulls. The GW skeleton boxes were great! Too bad they\'re gone....

When I worked for Armorcast we had ZILLIONS of skulls - skull roads, skull bridges, skull piles, gob\'s of indivudual skulls.........

You might luck out and be able to get something here. Alot of the terrain stuff is out of production but you might be able to get some of the old stock or if you talk real sweet to them they MAY cast some more. Tim is probably the guy who awnsers the email but it\'s Dave who does the casting so if you address the subject line to Dave you might have some luck there. Good luck.

I asked about this some time ago. I was sent the name of a company in USA that will mass produce skulls for me, if I provide a green stuff sculpted one, but I tried, and can\'t sculpt a skull well enough

The charge was like 110 USD initial or something like that..and then a low rate per 10 skulls after. Once we pay initial, we can get as many as we want for the cheaper rate.

If people were willing to split cost, i will gladly pay my share..and then all of us could go to them for tons of skulls. I\'m looking for 500 to 600 (for now). BUt we need someone who can sculpt a good human skull for us ( I want one like the ones in GW skeleton box..with or without lower jaw).

What does everyone think? let me know and we can discuss. Anyone interested in this idea, letme know. SPlitting cost would be great

I\'ve been considering sculpting some of my own skulls and making molds. Would anyone be interested in this? I would like to sell them in packs of 10, 25, 50 and so on. Also, ill make different types of skulls and sell them separatly (or have one mixed pack) that way you can get what you want. Let me know if anyone is interested and ill try to work out a price and time frame.

The GW skeleton boxes were great! Too bad they\'re gone....

eh? You can still buy boxes of gw plastic skellies either for vampire counts or Tomb kings... they have around 25 skulls per box as well as an animal one.

Yes, but the new boxes cost a LOT more. I don\'t want to pay that amount of money for base decorations.

Who would guess they aren\'t self made or GW/FW? Come on, they\'re there to add atmosphere to the scene, not be the central figure . I\'d be really surprised if somebody said something about that.

As far as I know, they are only sold at the major cons that Reaper goes to. (GenCon & Origins). I had Cerridwyn pick up one for me when she was there. Let me also add that these are the agitator skulls that they use in the paints, not great pretty decrative skulls.

However, if you were to call them, I bet Jay could get you a bottle.

How many you looking for?

You wanting to do a skull base? One of the basing companies (Groundforge?) does roads of skulls and a skull bridge.

I\'d say I\'m looking for as many as I can get my hands on, but then someone would probably link to a bag of 10,000...

In reality I want enough to get myself in trouble with. I\'m hoping to create a couple of custom bases, a small tower, a Chaos Lord literally covered in skulls... little things like that. I could easily get by on 100 or so.

What I\'d give for 10.000 skulls. I would consider chipping in some cash for some decents skulls with and without jaw bones and with the open and closed mouth....erm i\'m getting picky here,,,okay any skulls that look like they used to be human
