Having now left GW and trying to get back in to painting my mini\'s for me , looking at my work it is standard GW cabinet/intro table standard, What i am asking is it possible to re-teach myself to paint better or is it gonna be a trial and error jobby.

If not how would be theee best way to go about it.

thanks for your time in reding this

Look at the articles on this site and keep active in the forums, ask about techniques you would like to learn and im sure you will get lots of help.

All in all dont push yourself to hard and just let the techniques come to you, and have fun!

Try this for starters, but it seems you have a good grounding in painting already, its just a matter of tweaking your style till your happy with it. :D
Good luck

Oh, and the best way to go about it is: paint mini\'s to the best you can each time

Your time painting at GW should give you some good skills to build on. Painting is a progression so what you currently know will help you improve.
Read the articles, especially the step by steps (the abbadon article was very helpful for me).
And follow the link Krom gave you. Eric is one of the best painters and he seems happy to give his time to help others progress.

@skab, i have been where you now walk.

thin your paints and start to learn to control the paint all over again.

once you have got used to that you will find all of your old techniques allow you to paint to a decent standard at a decent pace.

then look to painters who inspire you, and pestor the living shit out of them until all that is left is a dried up husk.

now where is jeremie ?lol

oh, and welcome aboard. the articles section is realy usefull as well as the wip thread. it\'s great for feedback. (watch out for drevilmonkie. he bites;) )
