She looks great but honestly sweetie, I'm going to take a three foot poll, tape it to the top of your camera and hang the background from the end of it. That way, no matter which angle you try to shoot, the background will always be directly behind your mini. ;)

Well done on the finishwork!

Great job on the painting Tryst! I'm tempted to bring my camera stuff to take some better pics. Sorry man but I just don't think these do it justice ><

Would you Elly? Friends don't let friends take bad pictures of minis! ;) It's nicely painted, I hate to see her get nuked because of photos.

I don't know about nuked, but she's certainly seeing a shelling.

Not to worry - Elly said he was going to bring his stuff, and even if he doesn't I caved today and ordered a light tent and lights. They should be here next week. I will then re-shoot Dorothy and Kisa.

On a different note, I have gone back to the Chaos Horsey. Kath should be happy!

Yay!!!! Very nice! And a gorgeous job on the chainmail! The horse color is looking really nice too!

I wish I would have known you were going to order a tent. I could have set you up with an easy one, made of PVC pipe that you can set up and take apart very easily, plus adjust it to whatever size model you are shooting. Get some fabric from the remnant table for a buck or two and the whole thing costs about $5.

If you've ordered that pop-up light tent with the lights, watch the lights. They get insanely hot, almost burned the house down when the cat knocked one over and it happened to switch on. I woke up to a house full of smoke and some clothes and carpet on fire. THAT was scary and the light that started it all was almost completely melted but it was still on! I couldn't believe it. Those suckers went in the trash and I bought some desk lamps from walmart.

Not as long as I thought, honestly. I've been on a roll with this horse today. As soon as I figure out the armor and barding color, I'll have it done.

Got to see Kisa up close and personal today, and I have to say I can't wait for better pics! (I was lazy and didn't bring all my gear down this weekend, since he ordered a light tent anyways) The purple is beautifully shaded, and the NMM is really solid for a first attempt. I am really impressed with how fast you are improving Tryst!!
Can't wait to see the completion of this horse, and your possible *cough* GD entries.... ;)

I had a feeling it was impressive in person. I think, he should bring it to Gamesday, just so I can see it in person. And yes, keep pressuring him to paint for the competition, everyone needs to have that anxiety awaiting the First Cut. Will you be bringing a box for my Sanguinor, or should I? Or is the base magnetized? Let me know, so I can pick it up. And I will bring the $45.

I hate to say it but your pictures of Kisa really let it down. I did see better ones in the WIP thread so I know it has to look better than the picture gives it credit for. I am sure it's a great looking piece from the WIP shots. I am really glad you got a light tent. I got one and it's great I really like it, doesn't matter what the weather is like I can get fairly reliable photo's and it was quite cheap.

Beauty job on the chainmail and chains.

pssst....put some faint striping on them thar hoofies - that will be icing on the cake.

He's looking fantastic! I really like the face plate on the horse. How's it going with the flags?

Haha I knew you were going to say something like that :)

As for the flags, well I really have to figure that out now, don't I? I will probably end up using the same major color (blue) on all of them, just in different shades. But I'll probably get started on the GD guy(s) next, so chaos dude may have to wait a few.
