That Ahnamoth dude looks awesome. Like M_i_J i'm having to put a lot of effort in to resist buying one right now. Dont fancy my chances of making it to the end of the day though

Thanks guys. After some debate (and gentle prodding by skelettets) I've decided to go TMM instead of NMM. It gave me a chance to try this Vallejo copper I picked up a while back. I've got even less experience with TMM compared to NMM, so it's a bit of trial and error. I also went back and redid the leg armor, as I was told it was too blue (by multiple people I trust and admire). Anyways, enough babble. Here's some pics:

yep good work there especialy on the armour.Not so sure about the copper axe maybe a bit more verdigree?

Leg armour is nice. The edge of the axe is coming off as orange in the pict rather than copper.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try and get some proper shots of the axe blade this afternoon. The pics aren't telling the whole story, as usual. I'm not saying it doesn't need tweaking. I'm a bit confounded as to how to approach a blade of that shape. And looking in the gallery, it seems everyone went for blood/weathering/misc effects - almost as if they didn't know how to tackle it either

Switching gears again...what else is new?

Tried a bit of 10ball's stippling, failed horribly. Maybe I'll freehand something on the cloak, but not little dots.

You know, if the stippling isn't working you could try layering on various colors with sponging like what some do with armour chipping and then blend it all with some glazes and washes. I used that for the flesh areas of my DV chaos lord's fur pelt. Came out nice.

Well it came down to Maelee, Vivian Gale, The Girl, and Wu Ling Shu. It was hard to even get that far - these are quite wonderful sculpts. In the end I chose Wu Ling, since there's so much opportunity for freehand on her robes. Guess Bailey and I can have a paint off!

The blue is looking really good. Those deep shadows give it a nice rich tone.

That blue is nice. I do not think Wu Ling will be my first Bombshell to tackle. Too much potential for freehand that I need practice with. Besides, I cannot wait to see your finished master piece!

Thanks Krule. They paint fast, even with freehand. She's almost done already. Just needs a sword, a few bits, and a base.
