Well once I got used to it, I started using this:

It's tiny - so you have to almost overload it with paint so that it doesn't dry before you reach the mini. You can also use slo-dri to help if you want, which is what I did with the freehand on Artemis.

Haha this particular shade of red maybe. I'm starting to feel like a Chad clone - red and gold. red and gold. But it looks sooo goooood.

You ain't enough of a ninja to be a clone of me... and you are WAY too skinny!

Red and gold is great, just do it.

i went to the site, and was very disapointed. all that was there was a paintbrush, and a small one at that...

Brilliant. But Trystan will tell you it ain't the size of the brush... it's how much paint it'll hold.

Quite true - too bad this brush can't hold much at all.
I did get some painting done this weekend - however, it was the kind done with a roller. Quite boring. No freehand or shading at all.

A little more work on Lysette - still trying to figure out some colors, but I worked with what I already had going. What do you guys think about the blouse color?

The blouse colour is great for the shadows but I would blend it right up to a ivory / bleach bone type colour. i think it would compliment the face & red skirt better.

I agree with ten. I am also not sure qbout the dark corset, it pulls the eye away from the face. Maybe just a different shade of the blouse or the same red as the skirt to move the eye to the smooth face.

Hah! I didn't even notice that. I will try red with offsetting lace and see where that gets us.

There's been a lot of negative posts and feelings about wave 2 of Sedition Wars. It's depressing. So I took one of the biggest "problem" minis and started painting her.
You may recognize her as the Cylon in the red dress from the Battlestar Galactica reboot. Of course any similarities are purely coincidental....
This is about 2.5 hours in. All that's left is the red dress, the base, and any touch ups.

This is just a size shot with Lysette from Reaper.

On Hexen, it was basecoated with P3 Bootstrap Leather. Then I went over the strands with P3 Rucksack Tan. Then I added a bit of white to the Tan and went over the strands again. I finished it off with pure white on the crown and a few other select spots.
