This is my third mini. As always, I appreciate any feedback, advice or constructive criticism that you can offer to help me do a better paint job on the next one.

Cool stuff, the flesh IMO need more defination, especially on the face. Try a couple of dark flesh washes, this should sort it out stright away. Voted.

And I was gonna say the flesh was pretty good. :drunk:

Tip on the wood... Darken it up with a wash then paint on wood grain with a lighter color.

I give out only one tip per day. :drunk:

Did the vote thing. I think a flesh wash would help bring out the definition in the skin. Neat paint job did the vote thing.

matty1001 & Ogrebane: Thanks for the advice. Out of all of the comments I\'ve received about this mini, the skin needing more highlighting/shading has been the one mentioned the most. It\'s something I will definitely keep in mind when I work on my next one.

MPJ: When I painted the wood, I put on a dark basecoat and then a couple thin coats of a lighter color. Did I do it wrong? Maybe the lighter paint wasn\'t thin enough?

Not wrong at all. It\'s just that it looks like the wood on the mini is modelled smooth so painting on very thin grain lines would have made it \'pop\'. It\'s not a necessary step by any means, few woods would show their grain at that scale, but it would make the wood show up nicely.

Oh yeah, and for your 3rd mini it\'s really awsome.

Great improvement on neatness and contrast.
Try colored glazes and washes to give it more life. For wood of any kind I recommend chestnut ink.
You line them up pretty quickly too, I respect the dedication, Keep it up^^

MPJ: I see what what you\'re saying. Thank you very much for both the tip and the compliment!

farseerlum: Thanks. The thought (briefly) crossed my mind to decorate with some kind of tattoo, but I decided to hold off on this one. Maybe I\'ll try it some other time.

GreenOne: Thanks! I\'ll remember the glazes and washes.
