A quick update re our fellow poster and avatar chamelon - Tuubje!

Filip is very well. He just ran his first con, which is why Peter and I went over to Antwerp at the weekend. It was a modest affair, but very well attended.

Lots of games being run and I believe La Confederation de Dragon Rouge were there too :D

Gerrie (Corvus) came along and it was great to meet him too. Peter did a series of painting workshops which went down well with those who attended.

Here are some pics

I thought Belgium was known for its high QUALITY of beer.
Then again, it seems like every country (except the USA) is known for that.

Actually I can\'t think of any american beer ???
Corona is mexican right ?

Oh and best beer I ever had is victoria, a mexican beer. The fact that they sell it it bottles of 1Liter for 50 cents does help too :p

Healthy life-style!

Peter and I had a great meal courtesy of Filips mum and dad and if he\'s eating what they gave us everyday, then I think he is a product of very healthy eating! ;)

They put on an indoor BBQ - how cool is that?!? Its something called a Gourmet set, which consists of a non-stick griddle a la George Forman, but its flat, with a grill pan underneath. Each guest then gets their own miniature frying pan, which sits under the grill. Whilst you are grilling stuff, you can then chuck on your own kebabs, steak, sausages etc on the top.

It was lovely, but we ate FAR too much  :D Not to mention the many flavours of Jenever and Vodka which also graced the evening :innocent:

Re the forums - I know I\'ve not been around much, but I continue to lurk in the dark corners. Just keep a cushion warm for me :D

PS I was drinking Leffe beer :D

yeah, it\'s called Gourmet, and it\'s very often done on new year\'s eve parties

@Tracy: did you practice a bit more on pronouncing my name correctly? ;)

Hrmm...American beer I drink is Pyramid, New Belgium brewery, stuff from Deschutes brewery, Alaskan Amber, or microbrew stuff brewed in pubs here or at a friend\'s house.

But yeah, if the only American beers you have are like Pabst or Budwesier...I don\'t touch the stuff. :D

Yup. American beers - the big, mass produced ones - pretty much all suck. Of courese, I can\'t say much for Mexican beers either. I don\'t like my beer \"light\" and/or \"fruity\". About the only American beer I like is Sam Adams. If I can\'t get that, I go Canadian: Molson Ale preferably. If it was a price be damned world, I\'d go with Heinieken, Killian\'s, etc.

So, now that you\'ve had a taste of Antwerp, are you also coming to Crisis 2005 at the end of the year?

Bye, Ming-Hua

I tend to disagree. All my Mexican friends and relatives say Corona is the cheap crap they sell to Gringos (the Coors lite of Mexican beer).
Dos Eqis (XX) is good.
Also try Tecate.
