Like the colour scheme for the fairy, but she needs more shading and highlighting. The other guys...would they really wear the same colour as the merchant? Like the colour scheme, pink and blue isn\'t something you see every day

I figured the merchant got his colth in bulk wholesale and then had the tailor make the outfits of all his workers. (It\'s also the result of painting 4 minis at the same time ... use the same paint but in slightly different ways.)

Does anyone have any comments and thoughts about the fairy? I suppose I could add some more shadows t the flesh tones. Probably the wing as well, but didn\'t do much with the wings because I was expermenting with some craft store paint and just wanted to see the effect of that paint alone.

I would say that the fairy could use more shading and highlighting as well. The colors of her hair and spear and wings and...ummm...sash...I guess...are a little too similiar, I think.

Honestly, I\'ve read one guy who does amazing 1/8 and 1/6 scale resin kits say that having a whole lot of flesh to do is really difficult to do well.

well i think you\'re on the right path, but need to give your minis more depth with both heavier shades and lighter highlights, and maybe some darklining too.
The pics quality doesn\'t help you too: try with a graduated background and it\'ll improve a lot.
And do something for those bases, of course!
my fav parts are the fairy\'s face and the merchant one...

so, keep painting!

sash would be tail... long story, my concept design so not Werner\'s fault if anyone thinks it\'s a bit...differnt.

Oh I see the tail, I think a closer term for what I was mentioning would be loincloth. So I worded badly, since I think the hair and spear are too similiar in color and depth, likewise with the wings and clothes.

Ah I see Never you mind then I misread, paired up wrong words and colours.

Meh...I talk like poo sometimes, so it\'s totally understandable. I just thought referring to the clothing as a \"loincloth\" seemed a little strange. Though I guess, technically, it\'s appropriate.

I still want to pick that fairy up and the \"bad fairy\". Would make in interesting set.

The blue problem may be more a result of the photograph. The loincloth (I checked the noble internet and yes the term can apply to ladies clothing as well) is dark blue, the wings metalic blue and the spear accent is green blue or turquoise.

One thing I find annoying, but I can\'t seem a reasonable rolution for it, is that the hair (head and tail) braid blends too well with the regular hair.

I\'ve added some dark washes to the flesh tones. I will check it again after Gen Con and post something to compare my minor alterations.

The wings could use more highlights, but I like the color. They look kind of iridescent - did you use a pearlizing medium or metallic paint on them? Very appropriate for a fairy I think

I got it at a craft store. It\'s called \"Dazzling Metalics - Elegant Finish - Ice Blue\" and it\'s from DecoArt. This was made in the USA, but the label also lists an address in the UK as well.
