Finally got around to finishing these fellas using my new brushes from Rosemary & Co.
First off is a Dwarven Warrior from I think tale of war but can\'t remember for sure.

and the votey link

I kinda fluffed up his bronze armour and weaponry but it still looks alright from some angles, definetly needs more highlighting though.

Then a Woodelf Spellsinger;

Went for a autumn scheme here. I do wonder if the colours blend in with each other though ???

I really tried with the bases on these two. I avoided taking pics of the dwarf\'s base as it really is tripe! I\'m pleased with the Elf\'s base though!

So what do you think? If you could help the votes towards 50 when the pics are active it would be lovely :)

I don\'t really the dwarf\'s skin but the wood elf spellsinger is good. I really like your colour choice for it and the base is good too.

I agree with Cheelfy. I\'m not a big fan of the dwarf skin but his purple/pink clothing looks really well done.

I also like the spellsinger, but on some places, the highlights could have been a little higher, more ligt colors (darn my english).
I hope you know what I mean:p

Thanks for the comments. Yeah the pictures aren\'t great, I used plastic bags to try and diffuse the harsh lamp light but couldn\'t really fit the whole wood elf in close enough to the camera - even without the base!
Will try and improve with more highlighting in the future though, at the moment I think the ratings are fair enough as these really aren\'t my best. Better to finish something than not though.

now thats one bulky dwarf! paintwise i think he\'s really outgunned by the spellsinger tho.

i agree better pic\'s would probably help, but yeah i for one know how hard that nut can be...:~(

Hi Niall, voted on these the other day, that dwarf\'s musculature is just too distracting, no matter the paint job, that\'s one ugly sculpt IMO I like the way the Bronze & the orange hair work together though.

I think the colours on the Wood Elf do work together, nice & subtley done. I picked up one of these figures to use for a Sorcerer in my D&D party who has taken to flying most sessions (to stop his current figure being balanced on top of wobbly, whatever comes to hand, risers) but was a little put off upon realising how top heavy he is for the gaming table. I might have to cast a lead slotta base just to keep him upright, or just display base him as you have :D I think his base is okay but doesn\'t give any sense of him rising from the ground as he draws the forests power to his aid. Not that I\'m sure how to achieve that right now of course :redface: Bigger shot of his face please.

Re. better photos, try changing the background colour you\'re shooting against, it has all sorts of effects that my junior level physics doesn\'t really understand but can make a massive difference. :beer: B.
