I\'m planning a conversion for a warhammer mounted wight lord with carrying the battle standard (well not carrying, but attached to his back), and I can\'t decide what sort of banner to use. I want to use a plastic one from some box set. Now I do have the small banner from the goblin box set, but I fear with it being so small its not really suitable for an army\'s battle standard. So now I\'m stuck, I have a banner, but I think it\'s too small... and I\'d rather not have to spend money to get a different banner. I think the banner from the orc boyz box would probably be best, but it might be a little too large (the wight is rather small...) and I don\'t have any left. So before I go and use a banner that is too small or buy a new one I would like some feed back, ideas, or comments from you guys.
Secondly, I plan on doing alot of cobble stone (well, old run down broken with patches of grass cobble stone...) type bases for the army but I don\'t really know what the best aproach is. I know i could use green stuff and carve the lines in, but doing this for large units (30+ models seems a bit too much for me, plus I\'m not terribly good with green stuff). Another method I\'ve heard of is cutting small squares and rectangles out of thinner plastic or even cardboard and gluing those down and that seems like the best plan to me but I haven\'t really seen it done so I was wondering if anyone here could give me some tips or advice, maybe pictures that would help me out.
Thanks for your time.
P.S. I don\'t have a camera right now but when I get a hold of one I\'ll post the work I\'ve done on the wight lord along with the banner so that you can actually see what I\'m doing.
