Tyranids Biodiversity Project

Hi all.

well for about a decade i have been in love with Tyranids although i started painting and converting chaos ( how fool i was) all those years with my secret nid passion hidden inside my brains recently produced my tyranid biodiversity project...

so my nid project consists on builting all my ideas i have on nids, like my vision on them....

Started with genestealers broods... one thing that really bothered me is that GW only produced human dna based genestealers and what about all those others races nids consumed that are not humans? genestealers for sure infiltrated other races and creatures so my idea for my broods is....
Genestealers with dna from others races and not only human...

for me tyrant guards are eyeless mass of muscles and chitin these Tyranid monsters are the bodyguards of the Hive Tyrant. When bioengineering perfect and complex organisms like Hive Tyrants many hundreds fail to have the attributes and synaptic brains of such faultless creature, the results of the failed Hive Tyrants is the Tyrant Guard. Highly connected to the hive Tyrant the Tyrant Guards are pure animal shields that defend the master Tyranid at all cost.

I was going to say it could use more humor, but then I saw the Hermit Crab.
Next you\'ll have the Genestealer Coala or Genestealer Guinnea Pig.

I love the conversions and it makes sense in some cases for the Genestealers to make hybrids with other species (love the dwarf genestealer) though I thought the stealer model they make is pure strain, not human based.

GW previous codex stated clearly that genestealers so called \"purestrains\" have human DNA.
even on unit entry states that
\"Depending on host species genestealers shows occasional mutability\"
on curent codex the species got baptised
Corporaptor Hominis so GW purestrains are based on human DNA.

not want to enter my totaly freakish fluff conclusions and speculative data but i can say the original stealer is the extint Csith... or do also Csiths have host DNA from unknowened race? better i stop here:bouncy:


funny stealers are ok in small doses in my fleet, i dont whant a clownish army... but demiurg sure fills that gap...hes gona byte your toes

thanks for warm welcome guys... actually im on CMON for some time but on forums more has a lurker. i decided to put this here because im reaching 50% of converted stealers and needed inputs on improvements for next 25 organisms.

I\'ve looked at these before on your site, they are fantastic! The technovirus is one of my favorites, an insane fusion of Chaos, technology and biology. But I also really like the crabs, snakes and of course the Alien

thanks a lot for the sugestions man, i have some concept limitations that i should explain.

-deamons dont have fisical body presence so any attempt of infiltrating them would be impossible. ( the warp beast will be out of my list)
- al fish creatures have to be changed to fismen since they have to keep up with the rest of the broods and floating in the air is not my ideal solution, so all fishes are well covered with shark organism.
- size does matter, and i will try to keep some large species for my carnis and bigger nids.

that sounds nice and cannibalism is quitte common on nids although that would probably look confusing because im doing a full army with all species, i will try to avoid nids on nids concept... but a very cool idea man, thanks.

great, nids need talented persons such has yourself and others to boost them online and on GD\'s... today is very hard to see top nids on GD\'s or with original colors... waiting to see your take on them.

WOW! these are so awesome! You might want to even do some mixed with other warhammer races(considering the necrons are enemy\'s with the lizardmen) but only if u got enough time and green stuff left. The hermit crab is awesome, and i would love to se it cut down a space marine in battle. Maybe you should mix one with an ant eater or chinchilla? just a few weirdos to throw out there for you. Any ways, nice job.:bouncy:

I forgot to mention earlier: your crab conversion looks a lot like the soldier critters in the movie \"The Dark Crystal\"
