U2U???

i dont get it....how do you work U2U, all i can ever get it messages people have sent me, i cant ever start the U2U...will someone please help me?

It\'s not so hard. Just press the \"U2U\"-Button. Enter the username of the person you want to send a message to into the lower right-hand text field and press the button below it. Then, type your message and send....

the only button below it is the \"close this window\" button, i tried to send you something, thinking maybe i could, and i dont think i did it right, ugh....ill just keep working on it

Strange, you should really have a send-button. I certainly have one. Then just try to send me a message again, just enter my Username in the box and press Enter. Now you should get the message window just as if you pressed the button.

it only lets me type your name then even if i hit enter or the little send button (which i SWEAR wasent there before) it will only let me type like 15 letters and i have no message box???

i really do thank you guys for helpin me out, i really can see how this could be a useful feature, if only it woked do you guys have anymore ideas about how i can get it to work?

How about you give us two screenshots, one of you basic U2U window and another one about the window that pops up when trying to write a message to me.

This won\'t really help, but it may make you feel better. You\'re apparently not alone. I just tried to send you a message. I filled your name in and hit send and all it did was disappear

Hmmm...when I\'m sending one, I enter the person\'s name in the \"Send a message to\" box, and then press \"Send\" It should open up a seperate little window that you can type your message into...The field in the beginning where you type the persons name only lets you enter around 15 characters, so that might be what you\'re trying to type in..

Just keep on trying..

I have the same problem. If I type in a name and hit Send, the name just disappears and thats it.

hey you know what.........maybe i have a popup blocker, cause i dont get that second window. mmmmmmmmmmmmm ill have to look into that and let you guys know.

Hmmm...I logged out of the coolminiornot gallery, but stayed logged into the forums, and tried the U2U thing...It opened up a wierd window that only gave me a little box in which to type/enter the persons name...

Are you logged in to the main site as well? Because you can be logged in to one, but not the other, and that might be the prob.

EDIT: Ahh, that might be it...do you have mozilla? Because it has an auto pop-up blocker that I had to fiddle with in order to use CMON properly.

The U2U on this site is possibly it\'s weakest feature...It is far better to use ordinary email, even the shoutbox is better...

I sent you a message and my end worked perfectly. Did you get it?

Right!!

Let\'s try a step-by-step...

1) Click on U2U below this post.

2) Scroll to the bottom of the window that appears.

3) On the right hand side there should be a black box right after the words, \"Send a message to:\"

4) Type \'finn17\' in the box.

5) Click on the \'send\' button which is just to the right of the text box.

6) A new dialogue box should appear...Which says, \"Send a message to finn17\" at the top.

7) Type \"Success\" in the subject box.

8) Type \"thank you finn in the message box\"

9) Click on \'Post it\'

If that doesn\'t work, I only have two other suggestions...perhaps the dialogue boxes are appearing under the screens you already have open..this happens sometimes..
If this is not the case open a thread in the feedback forum and someone brighter than I will try and unravel things
