hey after having this years 7th grade in my school i deserve the vacation. being told to go f--k oneself, or being called a fat-a-- or having another student try to wrestle you to the floor. <--that one was priceless, (im a former semi-state wrestler) is enough for me to deserve 2 months off.

best part of the year though, being invited to 4 graduations from high school and a student writing on my board thanks for teaching me to draw.

now that rocks.

:D

I don\'t like Uber any more than the rest of you, but I think teachers deserve the time off. They aren\'t paid enough, they have to take OUR kids for 9 months of the year...

Let me work out the math on this Ordinary working Joe (UK)
Days in a year 365 (.25)
Minus Weekend days 104 = 261
Minus Bank Holidays 10 = 251
Minus average annual Leave 25 = 226 Days to work per annum
Schools attendance for Teachers = 197
Schools open (Barring Elections) = 194

Parents = 365-Life.

Oh we are being a little tongue in cheek here aren\'t we?:D

Hate to say I\'m four months into 8 months paid leave, and then I\'ve got another 7 weeks leave to take next financial year. Hard work sometimes :beer:
