There\'s some Expo thingy, but without looking for it I have no idea.

There\'s Hammerhead, in february but it\'s a gaming event primarily, no painting comp; but there are a number of manufacturers that go.

Triples, in Sheffield. More of a trade fair, I think.

Euro Militaire.

Platoon Britanica (the new thing that\'s been set up for July).

To be honest Euro-Militaire and Salute are the two biggest in the UK and imo they are the best of the shows, they are completely different to each other as well as Euro-Militaire is a two day event and covers mainly the larger scale and historical so the traders that attend mainly cater for this.

A lot of the other shows around the UK don\'t all have a painting competition and a lot of them are more for the gamer.

To list a few more for you:
Crusade end of Jan
Fiasco October or November
Ravage unfortunately this is in Paris and I will get there one year but not this one :( and is also a weekend show not a one day event

And of course there is GW\'s own Games Day in September.

UK Games Expo at the end of May Link

I might pop over there as it\'s only just up the road in Brum. There seem to be a few games going but no painting comp which is a shame. It covers a broad range of stuff including CCGs and boardgames too so I don\'t know how interesting it\'s going to be.

That UK Games Expo sounds a lot like the UK Conn thing that was around a few years ago??? Full of gamers playing CCG\'s and D&D and very little else...

Well the Fiasco Show is on 26th October at Leeds Royal Armouries.
Usualy a good show, primarily a Trading/Gaming based one. The times I\'ve been I can\'t recall there ever being a Painting Competition. (Altough I did miss last years show).

There is a Show In St Helens called Phalanx in June sometime, relativly \"Middle sized\". I\'ll dig out the details and post them up as soon as possible.

There was a painting competition at Game\'07 in Manchester last year. And I believe they intend to do another one this year, although I think the event has been moved to November.

Admittedly the number of entries was quite low, so it could do with a bit of support. It was a 2 day gaming event with the painting comp on the 1st day. I spent most of the day chatting to Chris (Generulpoleaxe), Hedly (Atacam) and Sean Green who was sculpting one of the Fire Industries oversized Rackham pieces.
