If that\'s the case, fair enough!

Trying to scare off the continentals Mike ;)? Can you blame a guy for trying ;)

A US GD ticket is $40.00 and we get the figure included..Thats about 21 pounds but keep in mind the exchange rate is very expensive right now at $1.83 to a pound.

On similar terms, the FR GD ticket with the mini costs 30€ which is about 20£50. But we don\'t have big screens to see the winning minis :(.

Carpark is free if you go on your local GW store bus. I did that last year. A deeply disturbing experience, 45 minutes with lots of smelly, sweaty men :|~

You should try it for several hours with Hyperactive, hormonal, unwashed and sweaty teenagers who constantly spout the latest mini\'s game stats and insist on playing \"c\"Rap music.
(Garage, Grundge, Thrash and even House music I\'ll listen to But Gansta Rap ............Shoot me now please!)

hey look into something called a runt herd pass..at the US demons that have a pass called a runt herd pass for parents who are bringing their kids but dont want to experiance the insanity. It gets them in for free and they can hang out in a lounge area and drink coffee and have snacks.. they do this for the US, I bet they might do the same thing for the UK. Worth looking into.. then you back to just 25 pounds :)

Hey all...

Gonna be coming along to Gamesday, and entering GD for the first time in 16 years this September!!

Apologies if details have already been discussed and I missed it... but is there a plan to actualy designate a time and place for CMONers to meet at the event and chat painting?

Like many of you... it\'d be great to just have the chance to meet fellow painters and discuss stuff face to face.... but not knowing any competition painters in the London area, and never having met and other CMON geeks... I won\'t recognise anyone :-(

Any ideas?

Ben

Last year we had a big meet up at around 13.00, after which about half of us went to the nearest hotel and had lunch together. I\'m guessing we\'ll do something similar this year.

Yeah 30 pounds for a GD ticket is peanuts when you\'re flying to Birmingham from another country...

Head over to the PYP thread or download >> here << the CMON yearbook.

As for the meet up, like last year, people should probably put their names in a list here as soon as they have their tickets so we don\'t forget anybody.

Heck, I might as well start it now with the people I\'m sure who are coming :

Well, I\'m definitely coming.... but not a WD subscriber so haven\'t been able to buy my ticket yet.

Have already invested WAY too much in my GD entries to NOT go ;-)

Thats why I intend driving up OK so I can\'t drink but that aside even the £6 (I\'m sure it was only £5 last year) parking charge is better than the bus :)

It was £5 last year, but that was last year.............. Amazing we are suffering 20% inflation in the UK:eek:

I also thought that GW charged for the coaches on top of the ticket, but it will definitely be worth £6 not to have all them brats on the bus!
