Hehe, Didn\'t know this thresd existed and started another one...lol
I got my ticket for the big day,so i\'m looking forward to kicking it with the \"CMON Posse\"!. We really need to finalize meeting times and places tho.
I\'m a little confused by most of the garbled info:) The most coherent thing is a gathering for lunch on the crap encrusted verge :D I proppose that we need times and places to gather.
I reckon D.R should have the shout and then we can tweak it a bit if needs be.
Anyone agree with this?

I\'m now going to play the role of the guy the posse doesn\'t like, but has to put up with, and say \'can I come?\' :p Kidding you know I am.

...Bugger! Holed at the first!
I forget mostly what the venues like, All i remember is a rediculous amount of stares and a grassy area (which I take to be the afore-mentioned Vermin Latrine).
I think the last time I was there was for the Red Bull King of Street skating comp in 2001-ish!
...Meanie!:(
*sigh* Starts at 10am so meet at 9.30ish?
Hey it\'s not a perfect sugestionlol but its a start :)

Hehe. As for what I\'m taking with me, I went into GW for 5 hours today. A quiet day in their really does mean you can get some work done. The store workers helped me out, and now All I have to do is paint my entry (unless I want to put a melta bomb onto him, but IMO would ruin him.)

I met 2 new friends who were only 11, and they said I wouldn\'t win the Youngbloodz! :( But thats not the point of me going, I\'m going to have fun, and even if I don\'t make the first cut it\'ll still be the best day in errr.... September!

You spent 5hrs in a GW shop!!!

Damn I cannot spend more than 5 mins before my skin begins to crawl and the cold sweats start from all the \" can I help you, what do you collect, can you paint, are you any good questions\"

Umm i love going in there.

Nigel :)

I\'m not sure which I prefer.

The \"HEY CAN I HELP YOU?!?!? WHAT ARMY DO YOU COLLECT?!?!?!??!WHAT ARE YOU PAINTING!?!!?!?!?!\" in your face, helpful though secretly wanting you to buy stuff so they dont lose thier job GW staff or the \"...\" \"err, excuse me?\" \"...\" \"Excuse me?\" \"...\" \"I would like to buy these miniatures please\" \"........\" of some LGS\' staff.

Back on subject : does anybody remember if last year there was a place where you could leave your luggage/bags/coats?

OK, thanks :). Yeah, the backpack is planned, but I was asking just to get my hotel reservations and return plane flights right ;).

For those who ever plan to go to GD FR, they have this service.

I didn\'t have any of that nightmarish stuff. Its quite tranquil on a quiet day, there was about 10 people in there at the busiest point, so it was all good. Whether you guys think I need my head checking is up to you now. lol

As for luggage, We carried a little Pringles backpack between the 3 of us (Me, my Dad and a friend) and we did fine. We carried the food in there (Must have been why the GW Loyaltists never caught it, but whether you can bring your own food by the rules is beyond me.

We also went at the scenery making bit, which was good, but that meant we had to carry a cardboard box around just to keep them on us.

My advice to you is to travel as light as you can, with all the queing up and moving about, lots of luggage isnt going to help. I doubt there is a luggage drop off, too. They guys running it have said that they will be too busy to look after very ones stuff.

PS - Yes, I\'ve heard many people behind me making remarks about \'Pop till you stop\', but its all good. lol

O.k, I don\'t remember too much of the last time I was there, but if the events dry surely there must be a place where we can grab a few brewskis apart from that crappy hotel?!
12 bucks for a burger? If I had to pay that i\'d expect it to be at least delivered on a cut diamond plate wrapped in gold leaf

They can take our ciggarettes! but they will never take our beer! :drunk:

Hello everybody...:D...

Some of the German and from the Polish Team will be at the GD UK this year...:)... We are about 5 people and we have never been in UK ever... soooo... We are curious about anything, that you could tell us about the Games Day there, is there anything we have to think about like something about the opening time, entrance, nono´s at the GD...?...

And we are still looking for a place to sleep in Birmingham for one night... there surely is a Hostel, but we are not sure, how much it costs...

We will arrive in London first, then we will travel by Bus from Victoria... something (about 10 Pound...) to Birmingham...

Anybody, help...?...:)...

I don\'t know, you polish and germans, coming over here taking our demons and women!!!

I live in Coventry (which the germans totalled during WW2, bit we won\'t mention that.... ) which is only 20 minutes from Birmingham, and my wife is a born and bred brummie so I will try to look into locations and prices of cheap accomodation for you. Also think you will be very lucky to get a coach from Birmingham to London and vice versa for a tenner!

As for Nono\'s. You can come in a Games Workshop related costume, but it cannot compramise of any military relavance that is from that 1900s and onwards. I\'m sure you\'ve read the rules on the UK site though, ;)

How about 20 a ride...?... Unrealistic...?... That´s much, I guess... I mean... 200 Kilometers...

Well, we will see, I am looking forward to see the BIGGEST GD ever...:D...

Ah, and we are coming for the / your women Exclusively...;)...

(Nobody left with some sort of help / advise...?... We would help you vice versa in Germany...)...
