Subscribers to White Dwarf UK have been able to purchase form 23rd May via mail order. I\'m not sure if this \"priviledge\" is available to non UK subscribers however.

After 1st July though it\'s every man/woman/thing for themselves.

Store Veterans from 14th June 2005.
General release from 2nd July 2005.

How quickly are the tickets usually sold? This year, they were all sold in a week for the french GD. Is it similar in UK, or can the non WD subscribers hope to get a ticket?

GW had tickets left over last year. Apparently they are having problems shiffting them. This is why they have moved to a smaller venue this year. But then what do you expect when the tickets are £25 each. Salute was only £8, similar in size and more choice as all are allowed there.

BTW what is the mini this year

But with NEC you have to hire the whole venue. With NIA you can hire sections for smaller events.

yup, I think it\'s the same one as at Paris :(
*** cough *** eBay lol.

I\'ve read the description of the categories on the english site, and found nothing to support the rumour that they were banning full sculpts this year. Does anybody have info on that?

Unless I\'m very much mistaken GD has moved to the NEC to up the capacity by about another 2,000, not reduce it.

Tickets will probably sell out, but not as fast as the French I wouldn\'t imagine, as 10,000 or so tickets are rather a lot.

As for banning full sculpts, quite possible next year from what I\'ve heard, and I can understand this decission. It is ultimately a Games Workshop assosciated painting comp, not a Green Stuff or Super Sculpey assosciated sculpting comp. The rules have already been published this time around so they won\'t be changing them this year I wouldn\'t imagine.

And yeah, that Marine isn\'t my favourite mini ever either, but you don\'t have to buy it if you don\'t want it do you?

Wrong way round! You hire the whole of the NIA. And GW state on their site that there will be far more space for them this year, so I presume the area they\'ll be taking up will be BIG!....:D

At the french one, it was included in the price of the ticket ???. But with a bit of conversion it\'s not that bad ;).

Oh and for the french edition, 3000 tickets were sold in a week, so that explains my worries ;).

I understand the choice of limiting sculpts, but how can they judge the limit? Suppose I take an IG head and sculpt the rest, would that be OK? Even worse, suppose I take a bolter and sculpt the rest?

I think something along the lines of \'conversions and part sculpts are permitted but the majority of the model must be made with parts from existing Games Workshop miniatures\' is more likely than it being left vague and open to too much interpretation.

The only thing which bugs me with the whole GD ticket subject is they expect you to pay £25 to get in, then ANOTHER £6 for the actual miniature meaning the tickets cost a total of £31 (and lets face it who isn\'t going to buy the figure, even if they don\'t like it)

It\'d be nice if the said pay £25 and get the mini free....
