Oh and before I forget, a big thanks to the Platoon Britannica mob for organising this and to GW for letting them hold it at Warhammer World.

It looks like the next meetup is going to be Gamesday.

I think it\'s safe to say that a good time was had by all (assless chaps not withstanding). Well done PB and Warhammer world for putting it all on :D

The scary young guy is voiceofthewarp (Probably has a real name, possibly . . . )

Yes I agree well done all that attended nice and relaxed if bloody hot.. got to put a few names to faces which is always good and really look forward to the next.. I think there was still a bit of the British politeness going on to an extent and I know I\'m guilty of talking to a fair few people and not knowing fully who they were and still not asking them...doh but All I can say is that it was the type of relaxed affair where that wasn\'t important and you could just chat with like minded folk... Drink the odd beer smoke the odd ciggy ad spend the odd few quid on Forgeworld stuff....

great fun...

and just to clarify a couple of things....

Liz Roger didn\'t say hi to me from you....

The young kid is indeed squighunter or sculpta the squig or voice of the warp and he is a great young lad and definitely one to watch for the future ....The more like him out there the better the future of the hobby will be...

GW were very gracious in both the lending of the facilities and allowing other manufacturers works to be displayed i their main hall and their promise of future support for the events is promising..

Prawnpowers work does definitely deserve better photo\'s as does a lot of peoples I saw there.....

and I tried to get the assless chaps for Nigel but they don\'t come in kids sizes......

roll on Games day and any other evet where the guys will be gathering as I think this is gonna be a brilliat thing and thanks for somebody finally taking the initiative and getting it started....

Just re-hydrating before I start going through all the photos that I took for people and one or two that I managed to take with the flash on a quick/brief walk around.

I had a great time and I hope that those that managed to grab a brief discussion with me manage to retain and use that info for their benefit :D

As soon as I get the photos sorted I will start posting them, probably leave a link as I think there will be a lot of pics of various peoples minis :D

I had a great time as I am sure everybody that attended did and would just like to say thanks to all those involved in making it a great day :D

Next time I want to get away from my own table a bit and look around and see what others are doing as well :D

Oh I iknew who he was (well, once he told me). We were just seeing if Liz knew. :D I even saw his parental units although I was just so tired at that point I didn\'t think to say hello to them. Bad Roger.

I fell so dirty I had to change my avatar to again. I have to stop flirting one of these days. I\'m going to get myself in serious trouble! He\'s still a brat!

Well I am going to get a roasting from the mods for this but what the hell here are a quick 10 shots that I took from some of the eye candy on the guys from the basement table. Just so many figures there and unable to get shots of everything with little time, these were only done hand held with the flast so please excuse me if some are a bit blurry.

All my shots are of figures rather than people probably due to the fact I only had a macro lense with me :D but I am sure there are plenty of real life photos of the day anyway to cover this including a few of the group shop taken at teh end of the day to be posted yet.

It was awesome i thought!
I got to see a couple of people who i\'ve met before and meet some new people. I just want to say thanks to the folk at Platoon Brit. for doing it all and i can\'t wait for the next one.
I was especially impressed by the quality of the stuff on show, signs of good things to come me thinks.

Thanks to everyone who gave me tips and whatnot and nice seeing you again Tim....if you can remember....:p

*EDIT* That Squighunter fellow really is a talented bugger.....although a a little bit scary....:D

@Undave. I don\'t think it would have been prudent to say hello from Liz to squig\'s parents. lol

@War Griffon. Those shots are better than mine, although I didn\'t try any closeup shots. I need more practice with my camera.

@Gobboteef. Obviously I would have seen you but I don\'t think I spoke to you. You can point yourself out on any photo you\'re on so next time I\'ll recognise you.

Though my time there was short owing to work commitments I had a great time. There was as has already been mentioned alot of eye candy to goggle over, really enjoyed chatting to you guys and also had a good old chin wag with Sean the guy who sculpted the large scale Rackham models.
If there is to be another one I will make sure that I am better organised and better equipped to bring more stuff to show.

*EDIT* at Gobbo Teef were you talking to me or the other Tim
