I think I may be able to pop along, but I don\'t think it\'s worth me bringing any minis- the table space would be better used by someone competent- but sitting in on painting tutorials would be great, as would putting faces to names.

@Joe (Squidders)

Come along mate. Its always good to see you, dont bring your collection though, that makes me feel inadequate.

Make a trip of it..... stay in Nottingham on the saturday night and buy me booze.

@Martyn (Wargriffon)

You say the nicest things, she is gonna make an appearance at this event then go to a good home. (Sally begged...... lol )

if you can make it then bring a few small ones at least.
it\'s not about who has spent the longest on a a piece or who has had the most practice, it\'s about looking at everybodies work instead of looking at pics.

i for one love to see work of all standards as even total beinners sometimes give me ideas with what they have done.

in a long winded and waffling way i\'m saying i would personaly like to see your work and have a chat.

Well that certainly makes me feel better at least. My stuff is fairly mediocre compared to most of the talent on here and I see some of the best the CMON forums have to offer are going to be in attendance.

I wonder how my stuff will measure up on the day.

i think everyone who is goin should be looking to bring some bits and peices along, first of all as mentioned u dont know how ur work can inspire others and also if ur looking for tips and advice its best to bring ur stuff along so people can see where ur at.
iv booked table space :D

This is pretty cool. I wish we had something like this locally. Unfortunately the local GW store is more of a daycare then an actual Hobby Shop. No clue why it\'s so bad here but if you are over 12 years old you are out of place.

It has always been that way, mid 90\'s I worked in Portsmouth store after getting a gold silver and bronze at GD95. Parents drop off kids with money and collect them 3 hrs later. And the local clubs have ppl with totally unpainted armies out on tables..yuk!!

back to original thread.. am very interested in coming to Nottingham in July.

There is a local club but they are more about playing games of 40K then about modeling and painting. For me to get involved I would actually have to learn some rules newer then Rogue Trader.

@Squidders
Listen to Demonherald Joe!!!

Come up on the Saturday night, partake in some beer with me. Spend the last of your dwindling money on liquid refreshment. Come on, enjoy yourself!!!

lol

Any other painters around the area on the Saturday night let me know, the more drinking the merrier. ( Do I sound like an alcoholic?...... I\'m not! )

I will be available on the Sunday to chat minis and give advice ( bad probably ) about
anything, so to all .... come along.

Damn I sound like a PR man for this event.

Make sure you get your commision! ;)

I am definitely coming, and will be around on Saturday evening. Might bring a few bits and bobs along, but I haven\'t booked a table. Am bringing the boyfriend too- he\'s promised to protect me from the Lentonites.

Boyfriend, Oh never mind lol
Make sure to bring Body Armour. Nottingham now has the “reputation” of being the most dangerous city in the UK

Where would be the fun in that? lol
