Sheffield would be okay for me. Obviously with my health issues I never really know how I\'ll be feeling until close, or even on the day but I\'m interested.

Isn\'t there a whopping great big GW store at Meadowhell now?

I can make a Sheffield get together. I\'ll drop in and see my parents while I\'m at it.

meadowhall is my local store and its not that big just been done up a bit thats all and it gets quite hot in their.

edit: i guarantee your minis will get broke as well !!! full of little kids obsessed with touching. being in a shopping centre

Hmmm I could have sworn someone told me they\'d opened up a battle bunker thing at that retail park with the Toys R Us in it.



Or maybe I imagined it ???

meadowhall is my local gw

1. it is all ways packed with people and red hot.

2. the war games emporium at the retail park i believe is still open, and they have a small shop.

3. there is a gw in sheffield town but isnt that big.

4. there is a wargames emporium in sheff town but i dont know what its like

i\'d say the emporium in the retail park is good for a meet up its quite big as well.

Hi folks....


Just thought I\'d post an official thanks to everyone who came along. I think we had about 45 people show up for the event, which wasn\'t bad at all considering how relatively un-advertised it was :)

We\'re going to be having a chat with WHW this week to try and pencil in the next national event, hopefully December some time.

Also, my apologies to everyone I wanted to meet and talk to and didn\'t get a chance, I\'m afraid I was a little jet-lagged and not quite 100% all there on the day having just got back from two weeks work with M72\'s in Canada.


Anyway, many thanks to everyone, can\'t wait to see you all at the next one!

i could do sheffield but leeds would be better for me (hell durham would be even better). still over 2 hours so sheffield for me so i suppose how often they would be (gotta save money with these petrol prices!!)

it would be good if we had one every so often so every couple of months something like that ??? but if everyone can make sheffield then i would say use the emporium next to meadowhall its big has gaming tables has a shop that sells lots of different minis from different manufactures.
