Hi folks,

Well it went well, got a finalist pin, which was my goal, so stoked the fires to go again next year, with more entries!

Duel entry - Didnt place, but got a lot of positive comments from people who were photographing it and talking to friends etc, so people must have liked it.

He won a finalist pin, which was really surprising, given A) the competition, and B) i did it in about 3 evenings painting.

What are golden demon pins? Is it some kind of physical token or a level of achievement?

In golden demon if you get through to the finals you receive a certificate and a pin badge.
The pin is shown on the photo .

How many rounds are there? One round of cuts, then the ones that go through are
considered finalists before bronze, silver and gold are announced?

Yep that's right, bronze, silver & gold are pick out of the finalists in each group.
