Here\'s my current WiP - Ulrika Wotsit von Doodah (I\'m not good with names). She\'s meant for an online comp along the theme of \"graceful\" - a difficult theme for someone who usually paints orcs and ogres :(

Anyway, here\'s the work so far - tried for feminine colours and a bit of freehand on the inside of the coat (obviously not my strong point). Also need to work up the outside of the coat a lot.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions and undeserving praise are all welcome :D

Looks good so far, could do with a bit of close up of the inside of the cloak. I\'m liking the colours you\'ve gone with nice contrast.

I always meant to get round to painting those! I have the full lot and the resin base ... should look rather spiffy when done!
The colours actually work pretty well! The front view is a bit dark though, so can\'t really tell much
Lessee how you get on ;)

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed painting this one. I was expecting it to be an annoying and fiddly experience but actually she\'s a pleasure to handle and I\'d recommend her to a friend if I had any.

As for a close up of the \"freehand\" inside the coat - no chance, it\'s rubbish! :D

Camera would be great but lessons in how to use one would probably be more useful lol

The comp is for an ebay group (link in my sig) a nice informal and fun monthly comp, nothing too serious but a great incentive to paint.

Incidentally, I\'m planning on using one of the snow bases you sent me if I can remove her from the one she\'s on now without breaking her leg.

that I can see would look nice! but I know it can be tricksy to remove such casted-on-mini bases. but use a good mini-saw and clippers and i guess it Will work out..

She\'s superglued to it - unfortunately I did this before I got the other bases. Most things I want to stayed glued fall apart easy enough but I\'m guessing this one\'s gonna put up a fight.

Surprisingly she came off ok, the peg that was attached to the bottom of her foot sheered off with hardly any pressure :) Started work on the base and I\'ll post an update once I\'ve made a bit more progress.

I think the fur round her cape should be a slightly different shade of that of her ushanka
(Fur hat)

She looks pretty good so far (From those dystopian photos lol) and not orky in da leest ;)

Well I\'m not too fond of the pastel colors, but that\'s just me so ignore that .

Other then that I would say good job, maybe some more contrast could help. And I could definetly see it looking good on a snow base.
