Unable to upload jpgs

I have been trying to upload jpgs to my album / WIP thread. Despite all my best efforts it is not allowing me to upload anything. I haven't maxed out on volume, I have previously uploaded 6 pics and they are all quite small. The latest set of pics follow the same rules as the ones I have uploaded but the system is not letting me upload them???

Im having the exact same problem. I haven't changed the way i used to put my pictures on but its not letting me upload them.

What's the exact error you're getting?

Ugh.... for some reason (probably my fault) we lost the attachments directory. It's been recreated but the old attachments are gone, but new attachments should work fine.

Ok so I can now upload new pics... but I can't seem to renew the ones that I had previously attached. They show up as having been uploaded in the "manage attachments" screen but they show as blank in the little box that is that pic. There doesn't appear to be any way of deleting them so that they can be re uploaded... or am I not looking in the right place?

Latest tinkering shows that I can upload new attachments if they are being placed in a new post... but they don't work if I try to insert them into a previous post. They just show up as blank tiles in the "manage attachments" screen.
Ahh found I can delete attachments in the "settings" screen.... but they still do not disappear in the "manage attachments" screen?!?
