Undead Royalty

Here is my first entry for the Iron Painter comp...
Undead Royalty
The theme was purple so I went with the royalty theme, trying to paint a tyrian purple for the robes and making the armor look clean and shiny.
I loved this mini, it\'s a very old GW mini, he was holding an axe and had a few lame details but I managed to change things around without them looking to crusty... lol
I know the base is too plain, I didn\'t have enough time to add more to it, and with other projects on the table I didn\'t feel like adding to it before moving on.
C & C most welcome, always looking to improve!

Superb job, Kinda makes me glad I didn\'t get my submission in on time. You\'d have flattened me with this one!

I\'m not really sure if this mini was part of a pack or anything, all I know is it\'s over ten years old, I got it in a blister with another undead dude in some bone armor, and it\'s GW and probably made of lead... that\'s all I can remember lol
Backstabbeth - he used to be holding a silly looking axe, but I just replaced the top, the only part from the axe that was still there were the skulls (I can\'t sculpt even that well yet, hehe)
Thanks for the comments everyone! I really should write an article about how I do my marble effects, everybody asks about it and it\'s really not that hard to achieve it. ;)

8.5 - 9 for me. I feel like the base lets it down a little.. allow me to explain, the painting on the mini is superb, but the painting/modeling on the base is not to the same standard. Really great job tho! just M2C. :D
