Under 18...how should I sell

Well I\'v been painting for 1 year this xmas and I feel i\'m getting better by the mini and am starting to look into selling miniatures when I think there worth buying. I of course went to ebay but you have to be 18 or older to have a account. Seeing that I am 13 I don\'t think I will be getting to sell on ebay anytime soon. What is my next best place to sell?

How to sell w/o credit card

Well, you\'re going to have some problems, because you won\'t get the price anywhere else that you would on eBay, its a matter of getting more exposure. I\'m assuming you can\'t get someone to sign up that is over 18 and would be willing to take cash in return for the eBay fees? That is one possibility. EBay also has a program where people will sell items for you, but they usually ask for like 25% of what the item goes for, so if you\'re really stuck you may want to go this way (because you may still make 25% more on eBay that you would anywhere else, so it would be worth it). If the eBay route doesn\'t sound promising at all, you can try to sell it for a fixed price. For this you will likely need somewhere to put up pictures (good pictures are important!), and you will need tp advertise on newsgroups, Bartertown, the miniatures page, etc. And then sit back and hope someone will pay you that fixed price - its likely to take longer than on eBay though, as auctions there last a fixed time. I hope this was helpful, and gives you an idea of your options...

As has already been said, getting someone else to sell for you is a good idea. Though paying someone commission can be painful!

Another option might be to set up your own web site and sell through that! Check out Lycos and Angelfire for details of how to construct your own free site. I looked into this, but couldn\'t figure out how the hell it all worked (bloody computer gobbledigook???).

Also, look for web sites where you might be able to advertise (wargamesdirectory.com may prove handy). You could even see about painting for a company! Not many will pay cash but most offer a number of new models in exchange for a painted figure. Could be a good way of getting your name mentioned here and there. :D

Click on \'Services\', that\'ll open a new page. Then click the \'Buying & Selling\' button which should be right below the \'Services\' button. Then you\'re looking for a link called \'Become a Trading Assistant\' or something or other. That takes you to a page where you can search for a trading assistant near you.

keep ur head on

try to get a family member or family friend to do it on ebay. also ive noticed 2 game shops had display cases in which they will showcase your works with a little paper car with your name on it. the paper can also state you take requests etc. any interested individuals can call a number and leave a message to say...... maybe meet at that shop and do somedealing. also some comic stores who might have a little xtra room about or a little display case room could maybe help you too. with marvel clix, tons of ccg\'s and gundam models, some comic shops are expanding to that area more. i dont know what comic store guy with a little room wouldnt be willing to take 20% off the top of any sales you made. ive seen a couple stores showcase fan art and sell it as many fan arts are sold on ebay. you dont even have to go to these stores 1st you could probably just call or have a parent call to wheel and deal with store owners.
