Hi everyone!

I have just sculpted an Unicorn for my Wood Elf army!
It is my first try at animals, but I think it was quite ok, at least for the army.

Please let me now what you think and feel free to vote! (click the pic) :)

All have good day!

Edit: The unicorn has been resculpted (I shortened the neck to the length used in standard GW cavalry).

Edit: The hindquarters have been fleshed out as was adviced! :)

That turned out really well!

The head seems just a smidge big for that body, but for a first go, it\'s quite remarkable.

Thank you! :)

About the size of the head - I have made the neck a little longer than what\'s usual on horses (compairing with GW horses) since I wanted the Unicorn to stand a little taller than the glade rider\'s mounts.

In retrospect I shouldn\'t have. :/

meh, who\'s to say what the proportions of a unicorn should be?

I\'m pretty impressed. I can sculpt little snakes and things shaped like balls, but that\'s bout it. lol

nice work.

I WAS going to say something about the head at first glance, then felt it fit since its supposed to be a more regal steed. Glad you did it on purpose! Fine sculpt.

That\'s a great job for a first attempt at something of the type. I just got out the clippers and the Dremel and made the Fey Enchantress disappear from her mount, and that\'s my Unicorn :D

Can\'t wait to see it painted.

After reading your comments about the head I resculpted the neck, shortened it, to fit standard Cavalry proportions. I also did some other small changes.

I think it looks better now. Thanks for your input.

I think you made the right choice to resculpt and adjust. It looks alot better now IMO. The neck was kind of distracting before. It still looks a tad bit long now to me, but it looks more proud than anything else.

The only thing I might suggest is to thicken up the rump a bit.

Very nice job. Cheers

its a really nice job, the head looks really good. my only concern with it would be that the hindquarters appear to be a little weak and could do with fleshing out a bit but all in all its a good job :)

To Queenoftheunitfrogs: Wow, coming from you that\'s special! Thanks! I think you are great at animal drawing.

I\'ll definately redefine the hindquarters and repost when ready (working on the rider for the moment though).

I have added to the back part of the unicorn. I\'m thinking about adding small hair on the lower legs, but that will wait for the moment, the rider is taking my attention as of now.
