they look nice but the bases and the photo let them down imo

a bit more contrast - especially on the metals, bone and binding on the spears would really help them

Its difficult to see all the details as the photo\'s are a bit dark, but I likes them. I\'ve been tempted by these for a while:D

First off, well done getting your first unit painted for Warhammer. I love the game, and I am a O&G player as well.

A solid tabletop job but couple point i would make are....

-I think your paint is not thinned enough. Things like the detail on the unit boss\'s hat look a little thick and chunky. You can solve that buy doing exactly what you did, but in about 3 passes with thinned paint. It doesn\'t take THAT much longer and you\'ll appreciate the extra time you took esp. on the unit champ, standard and musicians.

-The bases. It\'s just plain sand glued one, right? I heartily reccomend doing something else with them. If you don\'t want to paint the sand you can get nice tabeltop results buy putting a wash over the sand, let it dry and drybrush a lighter color. I think you should grab a couple empty bases put sand on them and try a couple different color combinations and see what you like best.

I\'m not sure I made this clear in my first post but these were painted about one year ago, when I\'d only just started warhammer. I now thin my paints much more. Since then I haven\'t finished any minis but my skills have much improved with the many unfinished projects I have going.

Thanks for your comments though

i feel the same way, there was something off about the photo. I think it is a tad too dark.

I like the color scheme used. Classic night goblin look and feel. Just something is off

Good stuff though especially as a first unit
