A while back there was a thread discussing bad taste posting (I think).
Anyway there was a link to a piece of art/sculpt by the Chapmen brothers called Hell.
A massive diarama of a demonic Nazi camp type thing.

It that the before or after pic? I think it is the \"before\". I see lots of action figures piled together. But the guy in the background looks kinda spooky too.

Either way, it looks scarey.

I am a tolerant person, but I wont be losing any sleep about the loss of this little lot. Some of Tracey Emin\'s stuff went up too. Bonus:D

Sorry if that doesn\'t sound like the normal tolerant finn, but I am sick to the back teeth of tw*ts posing as conceptual artists and bleeding money from schools, hospitals, research etc.:moon:

Yeah, there is no difference between the before and after....I am assuming we are really not seeing the after. Plastic minis near a fire would get all globby...


If they want to put me on the dole, I\'ll be glad to rebuild it for them....

I was thinking the same thing. Lotta work gone, but I\'m not gonna cry over it. The new one looks kinda like a \"wall of flesh\" from MtG.

I just want to know how many cavases with one colored line went up with the blaze.

As my sig line says, I\'m not one to bother with good taste, as long as it\'s not horrible without a purpose. If it shows society what it doesn\'t want to see (the truth of what happens in society) then I say that good taste be gone.

Oh my, it\'s a shame this had to happen to them. As disgusting as that piece was, I liked it. Oh well...they\'ll do another one.

I wonder if Tracey Emin will ever be able to recreate such a work again. Will she still have the creative powers to .....put up a tent.
As for Hell kind of an ironic way for it to go.

From the sounds of things, Tracey Emin is probably on suicide watch right now... or not, since she\'s apparently been known to destroy her own works in times of emotional despondency.

Hmm, given the hostility towards conceptual art I see here, perhaps I won\'t post the sculpture of Joseph Beuys I was planning to do... :D

I think I was better with the concept till I saw the McDonald\'s? May be I am dumb OK but I lose the gist of the drama there.
