Updated My blog!

Well, I am starting to try and kick my arse back into gear with my creative side, so I updated the blog a bit today. I have not yet trawled the net hunting for some cool new sculpts to add and draw attention to, but I do have a little bit of poetry to show. Fantasy based of course, got to keep with the theme. I enjoy writing, and whilst I think I'd prefer to write something like a gamebook, poetry can be quick and easy and satisfying to write. So one poem is an oldie, done about 15 years ago and the other is a new one, which I finished writing last night. Not sure if anyone is particular into poetry here, but if you are - check it out.

Went on to it with a feeling of oh god it's going to be bad ....but no nicely surprised I enjoyed it well written and gritty, nice blog site too.

LOL. Have faith man - if it was seriously shitty I wouldn't post it hehehe. But thanks for checking it out whilst having that feeling - appreciate it. There is a lot more. Just got to edit some and sort the fantasy from the rest of them.

I have to agree. I don't usually have much interest in poetic doings, but those are really rather good. The faery one is particularly imagination-capturing. Quite rackham-y, really (Arthur, that is. Not, yknow, Dirz and whatnot)

heres a thought edit it and put it on your blog as a free epub download or whatever format you like and let people download it shouldnt be hard to do. I use this software to convert word pdf etc into other formats http://calibre-ebook.com/ works a treat.

Thats a good idea Andy, but there is not enough content at the moment. I have written only 18 so far, one of those is my new one The Faery Ring, others need editing in various degrees. But definately something to work towards doing. Maybe even get a little illustration or two going. Something to do when I have loads more written I feel.

mij - To be honest I am not interested in most poetry either, just mainly the fantasy type stuff or anything that sounds cool and is easy to read. If it has no rhythm to it or rhyme I tend to lose interest. And all that "free verse" malarky where they just right anything they like does not interest me either. Seems a bit indulgent to me. I like that Lord of the Rings opener especially, "..Nine for mortal men doomed to die..." cool.

So rest assured anything I write will not be boring, nobody will be "wandering as lonely as a cloud" - they will be too busy "shuffling with a stomach that aches for the sweet taste of brains"! If you think something I have done is boring, let me know and I'll send it to the virtual waste paper basket!
