US Navy Seals Base...

I found this picture yesterday on the Net, and I remember how much you guys love stuff like this, so I thought I\'d share.

Now, being in construction, I know that a top-down view is always done for the site plan, so there is NO WAY that the architect or the gov\'t guys who approved it didn\'t know what it would look like form above.

I agree it\'s an \'optimal design\', but still... someone must of noticed the problem before the buildiings were built.

The article also states that some people are offended by it, and it should be taken down, but I figure it\'s no big deal (it\'s not like people can see it from their windows or driving by).

So what do you guys think? Tear it down, or \"who cares\"? ???

It woulda been different the buildings\' roofs were all black, on a surrounding circle of white concrete, surrounded by a giant rectangle of red clay, but as it is, it\'s simply a building which SLIGHTLY resembles a symbol.

As mentioned, the swastika, originally, was a Hindu/Judaic symbol - which was espoused by the Nazis (But reversed)

It sounds like a case of those people that are banning \"Christmas\" and decorations \"IN CASE\" it offends minorities- who really couldn\'t give a crap.

If I was Jewish, I wouldn\'t personally be offended by that building\'s shape, and I can\'t imagine any jew that WOULD

Being a fairly obvious shape that can be constructed from straight lines the swastika has shown up around the world, including on Native American buckskins/leathers, prehistoric rock art, Roman and Greek floor tiles and was used as decoration in Europe throughout the mediaeval period.

But despite all that, doesn\'t this just look so wrong to post-war eyes?!

hang on i have just noticed that there are buildings out there in the shape of crosses! the kkk use the cross as a symbol therefore all crosses are bad and anything adorning them should be torn down and burnt, lest we all go to hell!!

1. The buildings were built in 1967.

2. The swastika is a traditional eastern symbol. My girlfriend\'s Buddhist bracelet has one on it. It means only what we want it to mean.
