Using gloss and seal

Okay, usually after painting a mini I just spray it with GW purity seal.
I\'m wanting to do a mini with some shiney leather on it and I\'ve heard that a good way to do it is to apply some gloss.

Now my question is, do I use the gloss varnish and then seal it or use purityseal and then apply the gloss?

Cheers

I would personally apply the gloss after the spray seal if you really want it to have a true gloss

Well....

Is the gloss varnish applied via hand or spray? If it\'s by hand, i would suggest 3 steps (some with multiple)

First, spray glass varnish on the model. This offers the best protection. Then, over the course of 1 or 2 hours, 3 to 4 coats of Matte Purity seal. This will dull down the overall miniature to a nice finish.

Finally, after the protection coats are done, use a paint on varnish and put a thin layer onto whatever surface you want to be semi shiny!

The last step is what you want, while the first 2 are to help protect your work :) :) :)

Myself, I dull coat everything. If I want something shiney, I come back and paint a coat onto whatever I want shiney. Seems to work out alright and it allows for a bit of greater control over what your trying to achieve.
