His face needs more work, it's barely been begun, but I am liking the base a lot. CC and questions welcome.

That sword is very pretty DemonElf, nice one :good: The face is pleasantly red too without the pink taking over. I like :) Keep up the good work, cheers, B.

Ok, not too sure about this update.... do you all think the gold works? It needs more blending, but in terms of color placement I'm uncertain. A bit more blending done on the sword.

Gold: BC Chestnut Gold; HC Palomino Gold; HC Buckskin Pale; HC Linen White; SC Scorched Brown.

Sorry for the small pic...

Sword looks top notch. The gold looks good to me at the chest level...I'm assuming the plates running down the front are WIP at this point. If not, they're looking quite flat in comparison to the highlights on the chest.

I say go on with the highlights down the front of the gold and it'll be easier to judge with something closer to a final draft. I personally think it'll work out well.

Thanks for the comments! Yeah the gold is only basecoated at stomach level ,and needs blending at the chest. I will update soon.

I think the gold is turning out really nice! I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the sword though:p

Thanks for the comment! I have gotten a lot of mixed reviews about the sword. Some say that technically it's good but it doesn't fit, some love it, some hate it, I personally love it just because I like the blend. But I may have to change it =(

I think the problem with the sword is, that nobody really knows, why it is red... there is No source of this colour, that is big enough for this big amout of red.

You have written, that the stomach is finished. You mean the NMM gold in the middle? I am sorry, but in my opinion the last highlight is missing. It is a very well blended yellow, but in my opinion no NMM Gold. For this I think you should add the last Highlight (white or almost white to the edge) because without that is does not shine like metal.

um, its red because its a fantasy sword, not a real sword. if you like it keep it. if you paint for other people you'll end up losing interest. paint what YOU want. im sorry, i cant for the life of me understand why you'd change it if you like it......

Yeah funnymouth, sometimes I do make that mistake. I can undrstand where sometimes people don't see the intended effect, and that that's partly my fault, but you have sound advice. I like the sword, and thus I will keep it. Thank you! And Tagamoga, thanks also, your opinion is definitely worthwhile to hear. I went ahead and added a line of pure white on the stomach, but I'll update tomorrow.

Well I am indifferent to the sword. I mentioned only what most propably the point is. There are many models I really hate (not your model!!!), but still can see and worthship the techniques and paintings.

And yes as long you are satisfied or love a details, it has gone perfect. *smile* For example my woodelfs. Painted in TTS, No one really likes them. I love them and nobody is able to spoil them to me. :smirk:

Sp happy painting.

Greetings, Taggi

Looking great. The sword looks better, now that you have put a bit more color to it. I also like the way your gold is turning out.
