I painted this for a comp over on WAMP that had a theme of "Blue". I painted this guy using blue as a shade in all the colours, and some of the highlights where I could. Only the face is done differently using red as a shade to dry and focus-ify it. Any thoughts? Wierd thing about the pic is I am having trouble with the head on shot. I've tried it a bunch of different ways and switched background a couple times but something is wierd. It destroys the gem effect I went for on the lenses completely plus a bunch of other stuff. It's wierd. It's not SUPER far off real life or anything, but the bottom pic is the most accurate. I don't get it. Anyway...

I will be the first to say it.....that sword looks like a penis. LOL. Great painting though Scott....is the voting up over on WAMP yet?

nice scott, photos can really be a pain to get right... great colourchoises, the idea to use blue in the shading does that he look cold which suits the mini and enviroment very well!
i do however think that the base need a bit more work to be more interesting; branches, rocks, whatever bits....

Really nice, and i see what you mean about the goggles. They look much much better (more crystaline, and more depth?) in the bottom most picture.

Ha! Saskwatch! I think the official term is "Saskatonian" but it doesn't get splashed around a lot. I'd like to think we can refer to ourselves as "Angels on Earth" or something like that. A little more grand, without being over the top.

I'm from Saskatoon too! We will settle for nothing other than complete domination! Politely of course.

I like the fig Scott, it has a very cold feel to it, and the reds in the face really make that part stand out. I love the goggles as well. The blue you used on those really pops. The yellow ropes are probably the weakest point of the model but they are still pretty good and I'm not quite sure how you managed to use blue to shade yellow and not have it turn green. Well done.

Holy smokes! This is from way back. Well, glad you like it Demi, pretty sure you can use your style to make the mini look nice and gritty. Love the work you've been doing lately over on CofC!

LOL, its usual for people to look at faces then bases - not on this one, the sword has stolen all the glory :)
