Vallejo 597 \"Slow Dry\"

So I recently purchased this stuff and it seems odd to me that it\'s a gel. The directions on the side say to add \"a few drops\" to slow drying time, but the gel doesn\'t come out in drops because it\'s so viscous. I don\'t think I got a bad bottle or anything, and it seems to work, but I\'m not entirely sure how to handle the resulting mixture. Should I add even more water than normal to smooth it out? Or some Future? Any help on using this stuff successfully would be appreciated. (Not blending techniques, I can read about that elsewhere...)

Thanks!

I just use vallejo\'s mediums to make the paints slighty transparent and it also increases painting time. Some of my paints that had medium applied to them lasted twice as long in my wet pallete than those just mixed with water!

actually i found the gel to be handy.
if you put too much in apparently it\'s not good. so to put less in you just dab a spot onto the pallette.
it does work. but it also revitalises old paint on the pallette so be carefull where you use it.

Old Foghat song....

Isn\'t that the title of an old rock and roll song from Foghat?

cue music

\"Slow dry, take it easy - slow dry, take it easy,
Slow dry, take it easy, - slow dry, take it easy.

I\'m in the mood, the rhythm is right,
Move to the music, well we can roll all night, yeah.
Oooh, oooh, slow dry - Oooh,
Slow dry, take it easy - slow dry, take it easy.

Slow down, go down, got to get your lovin\' one more time.
Hold me, roll me, slow drying Vallejo you\'re so fine.\"

guitar licks....

Hopefully, I have burned that song in your brain for the rest of the weekend!!lollollollol
