Vallejo Model Color Suitcase WOOOHOO

It\'s my birthday, and I\'ve just ordered myself the vallejo model color suitcase:D:D:D:D
Anyway, from those of you who have ordered these sets before, are the brushes any good that come with it? The quality was going to decide what I did with them. Good quality I\'d put them alongside my series 7 brushes I have, but if the quality is \"meh\" then I was thinking of using them as my metallic color brushes, as I\'m deathly afraid to use my good brushes with my metallics. (Am I just being paranoid?) Anyway, There are questions in this post, but I mainly just wanted to brag that I\'m getting a new toy.

:D:D:D

I have had my suitcase of VJ\'s for a while and recently started using them (took a while to wean myself off the stack of GW\'s I have but the hot weather helped :cussing: )

I haven\'t used the brushes yet though mainly because I am still using the same brushes I have had for over a year, it\'s mainly down to prefference I prefer the triangular shaped brushes made by Hobbygames as I can hold them better than the normal round shaped ones.

The thing I do not like with the brushes that come in the suitcase is that they are synthetic and not sable brushes.

Hmmmm, got me thinkin ideas now.
Yeah, using sable the synthetics (no matter how fine) just don\'t compare at all.
As for metallics, as long as you wash your brushes after you finish up painting for the day it\'s cool. Tried and tested ;)

Wow a suitcase full of VMC. You gonna be a busy boy. Superb investment

TBS is spot on clean the brushes well and they will last. But, put those synthetics away and get quality sable, You don\'t want hair drop on your 10 hour blending materpiece.

Enjoy the pressie

Doug - quick one for you. Don\'t throw away the synthetic brishes but keep them for things like putting PVA onto bases for sand etc.

See ya!

I recently won a new and shiney model suitcase and I\'ve only used the brushes a couple of times (got the old favourites!), but yeah they\'re okay - better than GW anyway :)

I\'ve been using the vallejo brushes for a while now and gotta say I really like them.
Take great care of them though as they are quite a lite bristle. great for freehand and finer detailing also produce a great feather for blending however never ever try drybrushing with them.

I\'m trying to decide which set to go for as they do 2 now in the vmc range Military and hobby colours......? anyone any advice on that one
