This is my latest project, took me about 50 hours of hard work. Everything is hand made, except for the walls and windows (in fact the walls are a cast in dental plaster, the original panel is form Heki, I\'ve made a mold using silicone rubber and cast some panels). All the wood seen on the pictures is balsa wood, roof shingles are made form plasticard (each shingle was cut and sanded down individually). Moss added using sponge and superglue. This model is based on a building featured in a battle report from WD256. That\'s about it, hope you like it. Here\'s the link:

And here you can see everything else on this model, a lot of good quality pictures:

The \"core\" of the building was made using foamboard and cardboard. After that I\'ve glued on all the balsa pieces, added the wooden pillars at all the four corners of the model. The next step was gluing the wall panels. Originally the panels are from a company named Heki (they make all sort of train models stuff), they\'re made from styrodur (very similiar to pink insulation foam). I\'ve made a silicone rubber mold using one such panel and cast some walls in dental plaster. After gluing the walls in place, I\'ve covered the upper part walls with some floor tiles glue mixture. The roof tiles are made form plasticard, which was already said in my previous post. The base was made using Bruce\'s Hirst method described on his web site. Some wet dental plaster was applied to the base and some dry plaster was sprinkled on top. It was then heavily sprayed with water, to achieve a dry mud effect. After painting the whole thing, some coloured static grass was added around the stairs and drybrushed with some dark and light browns. That\'s about it. Hope it is of some help. Cheers!! and thanks for your comments!!

PS. and no the roof doesn\'t come off. It\'s all glued together so no interior play.
