Hey Kids! Here\'s ANOTHER model im busy getting through! (Im a damn painting MACHINE at the moment!, though iv gone off GW for a bit, it seemed like once i had painted one, i had painted them all.)
This model was sent to me by Highbulb Billy and i LOVE it lol (cheers Will ;) )

So.....to the painting, i have took heavu influence from Jakob Rune for this, his comments for my last mini including the use of more contrast and using purple\'s brown\'s and red\'s for shading. Plus to take a browse through his site for metallic work.

Grabbed the purple, mixed with a red and tada! Super shading on EVERYTHING!

This is the first time i have ever used glazing to create shade and tone on metallics, they arn\'t JRN smooth but they are a good start if i don\'t mind me saying so!

Im waiting on some slate bases from Groundforge, so thats what it will be based on, i have no \'joy\' in making base\'s so precast stuff is fantastic for me.

Hoping to get this fella done in a couple more days, only his HUGE axe to paint now, the base, then he should be up for voting.

*EDIT* Forgot to mention, the casting on this was terrible, iv just noticed the left hand glove looks like it is blended to his arm, it isn\'t there is a tiny raised area. A thin black line should sort this out.

No, just plain old tap water.

*Silly CMoN, went all funny there!*

So what will it do? JRN use\'s dish washing soap to break the surface tension for glazes, will this do the same thing?

Looking good, but another load of much lighter spot highlights on the cloak and skin will make it look so much better. I\'d suggest bloodying up his tools of the trade too. Tamiya Clear Red is what I\'d recommend for this.

Bloody hell Matty, I see I sent this to a good home lol

Very impressed with the skintones and the metals are probably the best I\'ve seen from you. I agree that the knife needs dirtying up/down a bit (not sure about blood or just darkening more though).

Can\'t wait to see what you do with his massive chopper (oops, there I go again :redface: )

It\'s looking so good that I can almost forgive you for spelling my name wrong ;)

Since joining cmon you have been 1 person i have keep and eye on, you have a lot of talent, i can see the golden demon round the corner mate,

The skin tones are very nice and i love the cloak,
