o.k guys here are some pics i took whilst painting this varghar mini, these pics dont show the full method but hopefully they will give you all some insight into my style
base coats, codex, fortress greys, vermin, scorched browns, graveyard earth and black.
shade with bestial brown washes, build up gradually. then redo codex to remove the watermark( sorry no pic of that stage)
shade the blade with progressively darker layers of black and brown inks, start of with really transparent layers and build and thicken from there.( sorry no pic of that stage). then streak with back up to fortress grey, which also removes the watermarks. the gold/vermin bits are shaded with scaley green.
add some white to fortress grey and streak again(snigger), always thin the paint right down maybe 50/50, sometimes more sometimes less.
