Howdy,
I finally got a camera capable of taking semi-decent pictures, so I thought I\'d share with ya\'ll what I have on the slab at the moment. The pictures are pretty big, so you can see all the little nasty details and comment on what a sloppy painter I am!
Still learning how to take good pictures, so please bear with me. Comments and critiques are always welcome.

Jet black: what a pain in the ass to paint!
Basic paint job, nothing fancy, but done in that icky edge highlighting style which is so prevalent. Not personally how I\'d paint them, but I need good standard GW-style minis to help draw commissions. I personally think he could do with some weathering, dirt and maybe a nice pinup girl drawn somewhere on his armor, but again I don\'t want to stray too far from the set style lest I alienate potential clients.
Mithril 54mm Gimli (~30% finished)
I was given the full fellowship set of these as a present and had never given them much thought. They\'re a little awkwardly proportioned (yes, one nostril is bigger than the other...), but the casting is pretty clean and in terms of 54mm LOTR, they\'re the only game in town. They\'re not nearly as bad as the studio jobs on Mithril\'s site would lead you to believe. My biggest pet peeve are his eyes. They\'re smaller than most 28mm figures I\'ve painted! I hope to have him finished by the end of July and have figured out how to use my camera by then. I gave him quite the rosy red nose as I always pictured him a W.C. Fields-esque drunk, but considering the red overtone to the photos it\'s hard to tell.

This guy (his name escapes me at the moment) has been sitting around with a basecoat on him since I quit painting around 2004. I thought it was time to change that. Not a bad sculpt. I tend to hate anything Sandra Garrity does, but I really have enjoyed painting him. The base has a really cool sphinx-like statue head on it, but the pictures I took of his back turned out blurry so booooooo! The only thing I\'m going to change is his necklace. The turquoise and the blue are too close to each other, so I believe I\'ll just go with alternating blue and white instead. It\'s still a little sloppy at the moment, but I\'m going to go back and clean up the bandages once I work on some of the other areas.
Siggurd, Viking from Reaper (~30% finished)
I can\'t say I\'ve ever hated painting Werner Klocke\'s sculpts. This guy is no exception. The only thing that irks me are the sculpted runes on his overcoat. I prefer to paint detail like that on myself rather than have it sculpted on... but what can you do? Still lots of work to do, but it should give you an idea. Painting his eyes inside his helmet was a real challenge, but thank HaShem for my 10/0 liner brush! I need to clean up some of the areas on his shirt, I\'m leaning towards changing his pants to something other than green and I\'m definitely going to change the fabric that\'s sown onto his shirt. Maybe something with polka-dots, or zig zag lines would look nice? Something to really emphasize his hobo viking nature
Well, thanks for looking and any comments or critiques you have would be much appreciated!
Edit: Retook pictures and used fewer images
