Varnishing mnis

im not looking for a glossy finish, just protection from chipping. what is the best way to do this?

get one of the chessex dice boxes. Stick the mini to the base then fill the box full of casting resin.

Barring that, don\'t handle the mins, pack them in soft then firm padding that won\'t rub or chip the minis.

If they are going to be played with, they are going to be chipped. Deal with it.

Ummm...I use Testors gloss and then hit it with matte varnish and I don\'t have any problems with chipping. Granted, I don\'t do that for display pieces, but for pieces I play with, it works quite well.

For display, I\'d give it one or two very light dustings of DulCoat. Just enough to kill any shine you have from using inks or future.

I\'m playing with Krylon flat and it is just not quite as dead as DulCoat. Fine for play minis though.
