Veins- sculpt or paint

i think if your doing very muscular sculpt them instead of paint. dont know of any links but look for pics of pro body builders they might help

I think you\'d really need to sculpt them, this is in a similar size to 54mm

need plenty of pics around you to make it work well, but I\'d say a combo of both if it\'s light skin and not too muscular..

plenty of reference and research, bodybuilding mags are good because you can cut out the pics you are using as reference and stick them on one page

when applying the veins once you\'ve got them where you want give them a couple of light brushes with liquid poly to help blend them into the surrounding flesh

Two questions come to mind. First being, realistic or fantasy? If it\'s fantasy you can do what you want, limited only by your taste.

If it\'s realistic, which veins? Generally I\'d sculpt the pronounced ones running down the biceps for example, one or two others you see on vascular men like on the neck (when shouting or straining) because they have some real three-dimensionality; for almost all of the smaller veins (back of the hand, top of the forearm, upper chest, into the groin) I think painting the illusion works best.
