I'm gonna maintain a WIP log here of my current project(s) which I would like to enter in "The Fang", a sorta small version of the GD in the Netherlands. You can also follow me on my blog(link in my sig) I'll probably post the pictures more often there ;)

Well hope you'll like it and hope I can get some advice! ;)

First time using oils, as you can see here:

I know the model has some mouldlines, I thought I had removed them well enough, but too bad. Normally I would still remove them, but since I already painted with the oils over it and I think I'll mess up the areas pretty bad if I'll file it away now, I'll try to make something like a scar from it.

Hi everyone!

Time for another update! Shameless copy from my blog:

I've not sat still the past week! I finished the basic tones for the skin of the Big Boss and will soon start painting his face with acrylics and oils after that.

Today I also started working on the base. The figure itself will be mounted on a gaming base, which will be inserted in a bigger display base. Time for photo's!

I first cut off a bit of the corner of the plinth before burning the edge. Again Massive Voodoo contributed the idea ;) It's going to be the edge of a forest/jungle like look with a rocky edge which will be under water. You'll see ;)

Clearly see the gaming base insertion here:

Showing some of the painting I did on the stomach, hard to show that without correct lighting.

Looks good so far. Interesting that i'm noticing a lot of people using oils now. Maybe its time I climbed onto the oil gravy train and see what its all about

Thanks for your input Milosh. I've done some work on the base last week and being lazy didn't put the photo's on the internet yet. They are on my blog now. Will do some more work this weekend, I hope to be finished for about 95%, and will be covering then both model and the base with a lot of photos ;) For now, look at my blog ;)

Hey now! Careful with those redheads - they're crazy! Really makes her skin seem warmer, weird. I thought it would cool it down.

Yeah, sorta :p On my blog you can see a couple more pics with also the elastics(?) to keep the hair together painted up, creates even more contrast together with the eyes :) Though these photos are not the best possible they're good enough for WiPs ;)

Looking good. I've got this little beaut on my desk, just trying to build up the nerve to start her. I'll be watching your progress sir.
