Very handy tool here.

Here's a tool I designed and built that is really versatile, strong and just handy. Really gives relief to carpal tunnel problems. It's a snap to make in short order. A sanding belt for rounding the piece, a band saw to split it, and a drill are all you need. The drill being the only really crucial one. You could get by without the others and just use hand tools.

@Dedwrekka, presumably this is a clamp to hold pieces during painting or sculpting.

@Shawn, I'm lining the jaws on my tabletop vice with either leather or linoleum. I might try both and see which works out better in the long run (although I'm sure the leather is going to win hands down).

Tweezers?

The spring could make them tweezers, but the comment about tension with the wingnut almost definitely makes it a clamp...

Terrific...............that's what happens when I post late at night. I had shot assembled pictures and forgot to post them. I'll update things in a few............just woke up..............I DON'T 'do' mornings.

...and yet you still won't tell us what they're for... :)
