If I remember correctly Trifon\'s mini is older than the Rackham one! There were goblin rat riders out at the time from Rackham (which I believe he said himself that he was using as inspiration) but that particular character was done much later.

Thats where I was going too, Anders! Just found the thread on Planet figure dated January 2005 where Guille showed the mini. The pics have gone tho (and I mentioned the Rackham similarity in the thread back then)

As far as I remember, Rackham had the rat-goblin idea starting from the very beginning. And there have been several versions. These are older ones, but there have been others before that are no longer produced (check the copyright date on the pic) :

Ignoring the rider (samurai more than spanish knight), the rats are astoundingly similar.

I remember a thread here on CMON where Trifon showed his goblin Don Quijote and he admitted to being inspired by Rackham\'s older goblin riders, so I don\'t see a great mystery here.

I don\'t think they borrowed them back! The only thing they could possibly have borrowed was the character riding a giant rat and that idea was already theirs to begin with...

Sounds to me like \"Tony\" is just nit picking on something to whine about AGAIN.I am sure there are other more important issues to be concerned about other than two minis that dont even look alike in any way except a random theme.DD:flame:

Oh, I don\'t think so. They are similar enough to question them.

It wouldn\'t be the first or last time someone was \'heavily influenced\' by another sculpt...nor does it really bother me too much.
