I\'m trying out some NMM gold and silver colors. So far I found the nicest ones I\'ve seen were done by Matt Verzani. I was wandering if anyone or Matt himself could tell how the NMM goldand silver was done. THanks in advance.

If I had to guess, I\'d say that the gold was a progression from Vermin Brown to Vomit Brown to Bleached Bone to White. This is all Citadel colors, so I hope you\'re familiar with them I\'ve got a pretty good eye at spotting colors, and these look pretty close to me. The silver, on the other hand, would have to be mixed a lot if you only have Citadel colors at your disposal. They simply don\'t make greys that dark.

It just occurred to me that you could shade the scale mail and \"feathers\" like he did by using a dilute Brown Ink/Chestnut Ink wash again using the Citadel colors. This over Vermin would produce a shade close to his colors.
