Viashimo - Work In Progress Thread

Hello, I'm new to the forum here but have enjoyed the site over the last few years on and off.

It seems that there are a lot of WIP threads here, and I'd like to throw mine in. I will use this for basically any miniature/project in the foreseeable future.

I have a Space Wolf army, but no longer play Warhammer 40,000 (huge fan of the fluff though).
My main interest in miniatures is for tabletop use in D&D games, Dark Heresy, and the like.

I've only painted a handful of miniatures since starting again last year, but they can be found (for the most part) at www.kienanstewart.com/personal/miniatures/index.php

I would really love comments and criticisms. Hoping to be become a better painter :)

Setup
Vallejo Gamecolour / Modelcolour paints
flow-aid/drying retarder

Photographs
I now use a Fuji F70EXR
All my old photos are taken with a Sony Ericsson Cybershot K850i (Phone)
I don't have a light tent / etc.
I don't usually post-process other than to resize. Tips would be appreciated.

Current Project
Half-Ogre warrior

welcome to the WIP threads, first your setup a few pointers, get second water pot for metalics, try to get a pallet of some sort artists or just plain tile (makes paint thining easier). Which brings me on to the figure, you show a neat approach and is a good start. I would first read as many of the threads/articles as poss on here. and then look at getting some contrast into your work eg the flesh.
I will keep in touch but best advice is to enjoy yourself and if you feel you are over streatching your self stop and perfect one skill at a time.
